Crown Prince receives Sudan’s Sovereign Council President in Makkah, agrees to establish coordination council

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received the President of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on Friday at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah.During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in Sudan and discussed efforts aimed at achieving peace, security, and stability in the country.
The Crown Prince and Gen. Al-Burhan also explored prospects for bilateral cooperation and agreed to establish a coordination council to enhance relations across various sectors.
Following the meeting, the Crown Prince hosted an iftar meal in honor of the visiting delegation.
The reception was attended by Deputy Emir of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishal; Minister of State and Cabinet Member Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd; Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif; Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman; Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan; Crown Prince’s Secretary Dr. Bandar Al-Rasheed; and Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali Jaafar.
From the Sudanese side, attendees included Sudan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dafallah Al-Haj Ali, Director of the President’s Office Maj. Gen. Adel Ismail Abu Bakr, and Director of the Arab Affairs Department Ambassador Abdulazim Mohammed Al-Sadiq.
