Turki Al-Sheikh named ‘Most Influential Personality in the Last Decade’ at MENA Effie Awards

RIYADH — Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has been honored with the prestigious title of “Most Influential Personality in the Last Decade” at the MENA Effie Awards 2024. The ceremony took place as part of Riyadh Season 2024 activities.
The award recognizes Al-Sheikh’s exceptional contributions to the growth and development of Saudi Arabia's entertainment sector. In his acceptance speech, he credited Saudi Arabia’s visionary leadership and expressed gratitude for their unwavering support. Al-Sheikh also dedicated the achievement to Saudi citizens, emphasizing the Kingdom’s rising global prominence.
Marking its 15th edition, the MENA Effie Awards is being hosted in Saudi Arabia for the first time. The event celebrates marketing and advertising excellence across the Middle East and North Africa.
This accolade adds to Al-Sheikh’s growing list of achievements, including his February recognition by The Independent newspaper as one of the “Top 50 Most Influential Figures in Boxing and MMA,” further cementing his influence across global industries.
