Cette remise en question perturbe notre conception de ce qui est « naturel » ou non, et nous invite à réviser nos croyances. En cherchant à mieux nous connaître, ne finissons-nous pas par mieux comprendre les autres ? Ne nous définissons-nous pas, alors, moins comme femmes ou hommes que comme êtres fondamentalement humains, nous élevant au-delà de l’ordre naturel des choses et de nos certitudes ?
