Partnering to save the Planet (again) | Jean Oelwang | TEDxBoston
What if you could only get a health check up every seven years? That’s exactly what we’ve been doing with the planet – until now. The world’s first comprehensive Planetary Health Check is clear: planet Earth is on red alert. It’s also clear that we have the solutions we need, and research indicates we have a five-year window to act. We now need to collaborate at a scale we can’t even begin to imagine. We’ve done it before when a diverse collective came together to protect the ozone layer. We can do it again. We’ve got this. Jean Oelwang is the founding CEO and President of Virgin Unite, an entrepreneurial foundation that builds collectives, incubates ideas and re-invents systems for a better world. She has supported the incubation and growth of 22 leadership collectives – from The Elders, to the B Team, to the Planetary Guardians. Jean is also the author of the book "Partnering: Forge the deep connections that make great things happen". - 7:49Ten Tales, One Rhythm | Dasha vatar | TEDxKKWIEERIn a mesmerizing Indian semi-classical dance performance, the timeless tales of Dashavatara, the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, were brought to life on the TEDxKKWIEER stage. Through graceful movements, expressive storytelling, and rhythmic precision, the performance echoed our theme: "Rise Through Resonance."Each avatar symbolized a step in the cosmic evolution of life and consciousness, reminding us how transformation and balance guide our collective rise. The Dashavatara are the ten primary avatars of Vishnu, a principal Hindu god. Vishnu is said to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order. The word Dashavatara derives from daśa, meaning "ten", and avatāra, roughly equivalent to "incarnation".
