Anum's story is a testament to breaking barriers, both in mountaineering and in life. She told everyone that as a forensic scientist, athlete, marathoner, and a mother of two, she has defied all odds. Not only did she recently conquer Broad Peak (8051m), one of the world's highest mountains, but she also became the first woman to lead a K2 expedition by FCNA in June 2024. Anum's talk highlights how resilience and gender inclusivity are central to her success in the world of extreme sports, motivating countless women in Pakistan to chase their dreams. Her story shows that with perseverance and a supportive community, no peak is too high to climb. Anum Uzair is a forensic scientist, athlete, a mountaineer and a mother of two. She is the leading female Mountaineer of Pakistan. She has climbed an 8163m Mount Manaslu in Nepal last year and recently climbed Broad Peak (8051m). She and her husband are the First ever Mountaineer couple from Pakistan. She ran New York Marathon in the first week of November.
