USING CHESS TO CHANGE THE WORLD | Tunde Onakoya | TEDxBabcockU

​At TEDxBabcockU 2023, Tunde Onakoya, the convener of Chess in Slums Africa, shared his inspiring journey of using chess to transform the lives of children in impoverished communities. Through his non-profit organization, Tunde has provided over 200 children with access to education, technology, and mentorship, using chess as a framework for learning and personal development. His talk highlighted the profound impact that strategic thinking and community support can have in empowering the less privileged and creating pathways to brighter futures Tunde Onakoya is the convener of Chess in slums Africa which is a non-profit organization that uses the game of chess as a framework to give children in impoverished communities access to education, technology and mentorship. Tunde Onakayo and his team of selfless individuals, through Chess in Slums, are sponsoring the education over 200 children and teenagers. Their service to the community is remarkable as they are creating a path to a brighter future for the less privileged.
