Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi Spor Yüksek Okulu mezunun olup 1998 yılından itibaren beden eğitimi öğretmeni olarak MEB’de görev almaktadır.Okçuluk sporunu kalkınması amacıyla Türkiye Okçuluk Federasyonu tarafından seçilen pilot il Adapazarı’nda başlamıştır. 2024 yılı itibari ile okçuluk sporunda 40. Yılını doldurmuş olup, Türkiye Okçuluk Federasyonu yönetim kurulu üyesi ve as başkanıdır. Ayrıca Paralimpik Okçuluk Federasyonu as başkanıdır. 1990 yılında milli takıma seçilmiş olup, 2012 yılında Avrupa Şampiyonluk Kupasında bayrağı oğlu Mete Gazoz’’a devretmiştir.2012 yılı itibari ile Türkiye Okçuluk Federasyonu eğitim kurulu başkanlığı, teknik kurul başkanlığı ve yönetim kurulu üyeliği görevini sürdürmektedir. İstanbul Okçuluk Gençlik ve Spor Kulübü kurucusu olup aktif çalışmalara devam etmektedir.Evli ve iki çocuk babasıdır.
