Shannon was born and raised in Canada, the oldest of six siblings. At 20, she moved to Japan where she married and raised four children who now live in four different countries. Unfortunately, she was successful in raising them independently. Tanzania is Shannon’s sixth country of residence and 30th country to visit. At DIA, Shannon is excited to be engaged in a community which places great importance on diversity and honoring the uniqueness of all individuals.
