- 14:03ALM E HAWA | Haider Aziz | TEDxAllama Iqbal Medical CollegeAlm-e-Hawa is a powerful and emotionally charged drama that delves deep into the oppressive traditions of the feudal Choudhary culture, where women are silenced, suppressed, and treated as mere possessions. Through intense storytelling and evocative performances, the play sheds light on the cruelty and injustice faced by women trapped in a patriarchal system. At the heart of the narrative is the Choudhary’s wife—voiceless not only by tradition but also by a physical inability to speak. Yet, she becomes the silent observer of the pain and subjugation around her. As the drama unfolds, her silence grows louder than words, until she breaks free from the chains of both societal and physical silence. In a soul-stirring finale, the drama concludes with a beautiful mime—her first expression after gaining her voice through surgery. This silent yet powerful performance symbolizes the breaking of centuries-old barriers, a woman’s reclaiming of identity, and the beginning of a new era where voices once muted rise to be heard. Syed Haider Aziz, a second-year MBBS student and passionate social entrepreneur, is the founder of Isaar Foundation, an NGO dedicated to improving the living standards of underprivileged communities. Despite his young age, Haider has led impactful initiatives that focus on humanitarian aid, education, and healthcare, demonstrating his commitment to social justice and community welfare. At TEDxAIMC, he will discuss the challenges of balancing medical studies with social entrepreneurship, and how breaking barriers through grassroots activism can drive meaningful change in society. His journey is an inspiring example of how young leaders can make a profound difference. He immediately started making plans with his parents. After watching the TEDx video, I realized that the speakers are very experienced and professional. and realized that they were children, so he changed direction and invited the child speakers. and started watching it. They were most interested in Molly's speech, which was viewed 8 million times. Molly took the stage with a baby and captured the audience's attention in the first 10 seconds. and she took it. Ela wanted to try it too, but her mom couldn't find a baby. At this point, his mother said to him, “In life, always take the long way you have to. The long way takes time, there are potholes you have to fall. But you must be able to get up every time you fall. That's what transforms.” This was a very important motivation for Ela. Preparing for speaking exams for their lessons in secondary school “If you get up from where you've fallen, you'll be able to help yourself. if you trust, if you work hard, you will make a good speech.” her mother's words inspired her. In her speech, Ela also mentioned a research survey. This one ten years ago fifty people were asked in research what they would change in their bodies. what they wanted, they were asked. The children's answers were fantastic; his chin like the jaws of a shark, fire coming out of your eyes, like a cheetah. they fantasized about running fast. Adults, on the other hand, dreamed about the shape of the nose or he wanted physical changes like weight. “While children fly, adults why is he content with grounded thoughts?” asked Ela. Ela said she has been playing tennis for 2.5 years and wants to win a Grand Slam. he realized that the adults were smiling at him skeptically. “Come on. Let's see...” and so on. When he investigated what it meant, he found that learned that the statement contains skepticism and continued to believe in himself would be the real motivation to transform him. In the research questionnaire, the dreams that children see as achievable, seemed impossible to adults. But Ela is happy to dream and will not give up on continuing to transform. Through graceful movements, expressive storytelling, and rhythmic precision, the performance echoed our theme: "Rise Through Resonance."Each avatar symbolized a step in the cosmic evolution of life and consciousness, reminding us how transformation and balance guide our collective rise. The Dashavatara are the ten primary avatars of Vishnu, a principal Hindu god. Vishnu is said to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order.
