She was awarded the Master of Gastroenterology Award by the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. She is known to accomplish solving many complex cases in her field of specialization including liver diseases& liver transplantation in the children & adults.
Dr. Aabha has been one of the earliest people in India to focus on Hepatology & Paediatric Hepatology. She has trained from Royal Free Hospital, King’s College Hospital London & Mayo Clinic USA.She was instrumental in setting the 1st transplant program in Western India at Jaslok Hospital in 1998. She was involved in the 1st successful Paediatric Liver Transplant in Western India, Journal of Post Graduate Medicine, Indian Paediatrics, Indian Journal of Paediatrics, Acta
