Beyond the Uniform, Lessons from the Armed Forces | Sreehari S | TEDxCS Academy Coimbatore

Discipline, resilience, leadership, and an unbreakable spirit—life in the armed forces is more than just a career; it’s a calling. In this compelling talk, Cdr. Sree Hari takes us behind the scenes of military life, sharing firsthand experiences, challenges, and the values that shape those who serve. From high-stakes missions to moments of camaraderie, he offers an inside look at what it truly means to wear the uniform. Commander Sreehari S is a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Navy, currently posted at INS Agrani, Combatore. With over 22 years of service, he hails from Kochi, Kerala. He completed his schooling at Kendriva Vidyalaya in Kochi and then attended the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun. After clearing the UPSC exam, he received military training at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune, for three years and was commissioned into the Navy in January 2003. Throughout his naval career, Cdr Sreehari has served on 11 warships stationed in Mumbai, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, and Port Blair. He has also held staff appointments at the Indian Navy's Southern Naval Command Headquarters in Kochi and has been responsible for instructional roles in units that conduct academic and operational training for ships and submarines.
