Everything, Everywhere, and Still Me | Katherine Winton & Devyn Ponnuvelu | TEDxSaintFrancisHS

From the TV shows we grew up with, to the articles in our school newspapers, we are surrounded by media that informs our sense of selves and shapes our identities. But what happens when you don’t see yourself on the screen or in the pages? Katherine Winton is a senior at Saint Francis who is the editor-in-chief of the newspaper, participates in campus ministry, organizes the annual hackathon, and more. Aside from spending time with friends and doing outdoor sports like snowboarding and surfing, she loves reading, listening to music, watching movies, and really anything related to entertainment. She is also an advocate for uplifting underrepresented voices.Devyn Ponnuvelu is a senior at Saint Francis High School involved in Affinity Council, Pride Student Union, and SFHS Acapella. They love the outdoors (especially going hiking, camping, and snowboarding) and enjoy spending their time reading, listening to and making music, and watching women's sports. They explore what it means to live fully across many identities and why being "too much" is something to be proud of. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
