Mr. Ramveer Tanwar, known as the "Pond Man of India," shared his inspiring transition from engineer to environmental activist, highlighting his grassroots mission to revive nearly 80 ponds across India and promote water conservation through movements like Say Earth, while discussing importance of saving the environment. Ramveer Tanwar, affectionately known as the 'Pond Man of India,' is a dedicated environmentalist and water conservationist. Holding a BTech degree, he transitioned from engineering to focus on revitalizing India's water bodies. Through his organization, Say Earth, and the 'Jal Chaupal' campaign, Ramveer has successfully restored approximately 80 ponds across multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, and Karnataka. His innovative approach and unwavering commitment have earned him accolades such as the Karmaveer Chakra Award (2019) and recognition from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Ramveer's inspiring journey exemplifies the profound impact of individual initiative on environmental preservation.
