You will always be aware of your regrets but never be aware of all the bullets you have dodged; every
opportunity missed is another gained. With infinite parallel universes branching from every choice, there
is no way to determine which specific set of choices will lead to the most optimized universe, even for
the most meticulous perfectionist. With this in mind, you should still learn from your mistakes but also
never stop moving forward. You can never change the past, but no matter what situation you find
yourself in, there will always be a way—no matter how small—to improve the future. Iris Wang is a junior at the Texas Academy of Math and Science passionate about the intersection between biomedical engineering and computer science. Fascinated by how technology can revolutionize healthcare, she is particularly interested in applying artificial intelligence to improve diagnostics and personalized medicine. Apart from STEM, she enjoys playing the harp, drawing her idealistic musings, and taking in the fresh air on a good run.
