Embrace Appearance Anxiety | Yixuan Qian | TEDxLitai Cambridge Youth

The theme of today's speech is overcoming body anxiety and advocating scientific fitness. In today's society, the diversification of aesthetic standards and the influence of social media can lead to anxiety about one's body. However, blindly pursuing a "perfect body" not only affects mental health but also leads to unscientific fitness practices. Instead of simply catering to external standards, we should focus on what is truly healthy and sustainable. I hope that through this speech, everyone can learn to view their bodies with a rational and positive attitude and truly enjoy the benefits that fitness can bring. Yixuan Qian has dedicated herself to addressing the challenges of appearance anxiety. Through her personal experiences and academic research, she has developed a deep understanding of how appearance anxiety affects individuals, particularly young people, and how it can be managed and embraced as a part of personal growth This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
