With over a decade of experience spanning academia, business, and government, Dr. Emanga Alobwede is a sustainability professional and interdisciplinary scientist. She currently leads the environmental science division at BX. Her academic credentials include a PhD in Environmental Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield, an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Nottingham. She served governmental roles as a Senior Soil Scientist and Policy Advisor. During her postdoctoral research, she co-founded a start-up on algae-based biofertilisers, winning several entrepreneurship awards. She has been featured on BBC Horizon, highlighted the potential of these biofertilisers to improve soil health and crop productivity, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional fertilisers.
