Ricardo Pereira viveu o seu primeiro protagonista numa telenovela da Rede Globo, Como uma Onda, decorria o ano de 2004. Mudou-se desde então para o Rio de Janeiro, sendo presença assídua entre os dois lados do Atlântico.
Estreou-se como ator no ano 2000 no Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, com a peça Real Caçada ao Sol, de Peter Shaffer. Leva mais de duas décadas a somar projetos, tanto em Portugal como no Brasil, e, mais recentemente, em Espanha.
Em 2023, assina contrato com a Netflix tornando-se produtor criativo e ator do maior gigante do universo do streaming. Desde 2020 que integra o júri dos International Emmy Awards.
Entre os seus trabalhos recentes, destacam-se as participações na série luso-espanhola Lume (HBO MAX), e em Rabo de Peixe (Netflix). Integra o elenco do filme Os Papéis do Inglês, e das séries Matilha (RTP / Prime Video), protagoniza o projeto espanhol Eva & Nicole.
