Lola Arenas nos advierte sobre una amenaza silenciosa: la enfermedad renal crónica, que puede pasar desapercibida hasta que es demasiado tarde. A través de historias reales y datos claros, nos invita a tomar conciencia, hablar de ella y prevenirla a tiempo. La Dra. Lola Arenas es nefróloga granadina con más de 30 años de experiencia. Licenciada en Medicina por la Universidad de Alicante (1997), fue jefa de Nefrología en el Hospital Vithas Internacional Perpetuo Socorro de Alicante durante 22 años, gestionando tres unidades de hemodiálisis. Luego, lideró la sección de Nefrología clínica y diálisis en el Hospital del Mar de Barcelona. Desde 2021, es directora asistencial de la Fundación Renal Española, dedicada a la atención integral de pacientes renales y la concienciación sobre la enfermedad. Ha impartido más de 100 conferencias, participado en 260 congresos y publicado más de 130 artículos científicos. Autora del libro infantil Renata, mi nefróloga y su cuaderno de actividades, una innovadora herramienta de educación renal que ha llegado a más de 2.000 niños.
