How to Get Noticed in Your Writing and Beyond | Estelle Erasmus | TEDxBostonCollege

Estelle Erasmus is an award-winning journalist and author of "Writing that Gets Noticed," which was named a "Best Book for Writers" by Poets & Writers Magazine. In her talk, she explores the value of getting straight to the point, being direct and engaging in your writing, storytelling, and even day-to-day conversations. Estelle Erasmus: an award-winning journalist, is the author of WRITING THAT GETS NOTICED (named a "Best Book for Writers" by Poets & Writers Magazine), a Contributing Editor for "Writer's Digest," and host of the podcast Freelance Writing Direct. She is a writing professor at NYU’s School of Professional Studies/Center for Publishing, Writing, and Media, and received the 2023 Teaching Excellence Award. She also teaches at NYU's High School Academy Program, where students come from all over the world to study journalism with her. Erasmus has written for over 150 publications, including The New York Times, Next Avenue/PBS, WIRED, The Independent, The Washington Post, and AARP: The Magazine, and was the editor-in-chief of five national publications.
