Naima shares her journey from Kenya to America, exploring the power of storytelling in shaping identity and belonging. Naima is a first-generation Kenyan - American who moved from Washington DC, to Nairboi at age 15 and attends Brookhouse School studying composition of music. In her TEDx Talk, she explores SANKOFA, an Akan concept about reclaiming our past to move forward. Through her journey of embracing dual identities, she reflects on Kenya's growth, advocating for a society rooted in empathy, unity, and self-awareness.
