What makes me me? | Tamara Urigova | TEDxPrague British Intl School Youth
What makes me me? Well, that's rather a funny story... Is a philosophical exploration of how we create our own narrative. Throughout her life, Tamara has always been fascinated by storytelling, especially in reference to the delicate construction of personal narratives, our so-called life stories Her own narrative would most likely fall under the category of pleasantly mundane with a desolate scarcity of astounding plot twists, contentious antagonists or ground-breaking revelations.
Nevertheless, the more books she immersed herself into as time went by, the more she came to appreciate that there are hardly any stories out there that are not worth telling. Ever since then, she began defining her narrative through her passions rather than her achievements – her insurmountable love for Literature, History and Psychology, as well as her profound fascination with the power of words which materialises itself through her involvement in debate club. She is an active member of the student leadership body at her school (PBIS), and hopes to pursue her future studies in the intricate field of social sciences.
