Make a Great Day | Stephen Hopkins | TEDxJohnsonCity

Is a great life built on perfect circumstances—or on something deeper? In this inspiring TEDx talk, Stephen Hopkins shares personal stories, profound insights, and a heartfelt message from his father to challenge the idea that greatness is found only in extraordinary moments. Instead, he reveals how everyday, ordinary experiences can carry deep meaning when approached with intention. By shifting your mindset, finding purpose in the mundane, and taking ownership of your attitude, you can transform any day—good or bad—into a great one. As a Leadership and Performance Coach, Stephen brings a unique perspective to his work. With leadership experience ranging from military, small business, non-profit, and church settings, he has developed proven principles and strategies for leading at a high level. Stephen is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point (B.S., Military History), the US Army Ranger School, and Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div). His aim is to help leaders live an integrated and intentional life bringing hope and positive transformation wherever they go. Stephen is also a missioner with the Inspire Movement, an international network committed to developing missional discipleship in the leadership and life of the church. He and his wife have planted and lead the Houses of Healing, a church community committed to making disciples by multiplying House Churches. They live in Kingsport, Tennessee with their four children. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
