The Economics of Espionage | Taman Thomas | TEDxAl Diyafah High School
The Economics of Espionage: Spies, Secrets, and the Cost of Betrayal offers a fresh perspective by linking espionage to its economic consequences. While often seen through the lens of security and geopolitics, this approach reveals how stolen trade secrets, cyber-attacks, and corporate intelligence influence global markets, drive innovation and affect GDP. It challenges conventional views by presenting espionage as a hidden driver of economic disruption and growth, highlighting its dual impact as a threat and a catalyst for technological advancement and policy shifts. I am a high school student passionate about global politics, economics, and innovation. My involvement in Model United Nations has sharpened my critical thinking skills and deepened my understanding of international relations. I look forward to sharing insights on the connection between technology, economic stability, and ethics during my TEDx Talk.
