How established Western narratives are constantly being challenged and questioned by indigenous thought: The Case of King Wajid Ali Shah Dr. Himanshu Bajpai is a leading dastango of India. He has performed more than 300 shows in several countries viz. Singapore, UAE, Turkey, Kuwait etc. Moreover, he has been honoured by the former Hon'ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind for storytelling. He was invited by the prestigious Harvard University to perform in the Harvard Worldwide Week. He has been a part of Netflix show “Sacred Games Season 2”. His book “Qissa Qissa Lucknowa” published by Rajkamal Prakashan has been a bestseller and he won Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2021 for it. Himanshu appeared on the cover of India Today in Dec, 2019 issue titled ‘Nayi Sanskriti Naye Sitare’. He has been one of the experts in the storytelling course by Zakir Khan on online educational platform FrontRow. He has a PhD on the historic Naval Kishore Press in Lucknow from Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya in Wardha. He writes a lot on the culture of Lucknow and is known for conducting interesting heritage walks in the city.
