The time and value of life cannot be quantified. Excessive pursuit of efficiency per unit of time, demanding that everything produce immediate results, is not a force against time, but a prisoner controlled by time. She was the founder and CEO of IPCN Ltd., an Anglo-Chinese media and entertainment content company, which was the first to introduce the rights licensing business to reproduce international TV formats/IP rights in China such as ‘China’s Got Talent’ and ‘The Voice of China’. Additionally, in 2010, Rebecca established her own production company Ba Lin (80Entertaiment) in Shanghai which was behind many of China’s broadcast sponsorship deals and branded content projects. After a merger between IPCN and Zebra Music, Rebecca took a board director role at the newly merged entity, CMC Times, which is the leader in live music event production in China today. She also led CMC Times to play an important strategic role as a content curator for the high growth location-based-entertainment real estate investment under CMC Inc. In 2020, despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, Rebecca formed a documentary studio named Cheeky Mono Ltd. and commenced production on China’s first documentary “Project Egg”, focusing on the subject of women’s rights and choices on childbearing. Rebecca is also one of the most dedicated female polo players in China and an accomplished marathon runner. She was also elected as the Davos World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders in 2016. 1 August 2021, Christie’s appointed Rebecca Yang as Chairman, China. He is a self-taught, award-winning artist, a writer, and -- apparently – a public speaker. He is a kid at heart and has an affinity for music, movies, coffee, and Saturday morning cartoons. He considers himself privileged to have trained and bonded with dozens of rescue dogs inside prison as well as out, and he loves that work. Having taken full advantage of prison libraries, Shawn has read thousands of books and considers himself a literary critic/book nerd. He continues at every opportunity to honor the memory of his sister, Shelly Vessell Gravely, and he dedicates his TEDx presentation to her and his family.
