Jabal Al-Rahmah in Arafat welcomes pilgrims amid enhanced measures for comfort
Saudi Gazette report
ARAFAT — Jabal Al-Rahmah or Mount of Mercy in Arafat welcomed large number of pilgrims who started gathering from early morning, spreading across its slopes to pray and seek mercy and forgiveness.
This prominent landmark, located 17 kilometers from the Grand Mosque and rising about 65 meters high, holds deep religious significance as the place where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) delivered his Farewell Sermon.
Reflecting the leadership's commitment to pilgrim welfare, new projects totaling 196,000 square meters have been implemented around Jabal Al-Rahmah to combat heat stress. These initiatives include 1,200 square meters of canopies equipped with 129 misting fans, moderating the atmosphere and reducing temperatures to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for pilgrims.
