Interior Minister reviews Hajj security readiness during annual forces ceremony

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, reviewed on Saturday the readiness of the security forces deployed to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1446 AH.The inspection took place during the annual ceremony organized by the participating security forces, which was held in the presence of senior officials and members of the Hajj leadership.
In a speech during the event, Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, emphasized that the Kingdom’s leadership has dedicated all necessary capabilities to serve and protect pilgrims, making Hajj a top national priority.
He highlighted the Kingdom’s achievements in managing large crowds through effective coordination, strategic planning, and seamless cooperation among sectors, resulting in a safe and organized pilgrimage experience.
Al-Bassami affirmed that the Hajj security forces are at the highest levels of preparedness and capable of dealing firmly and effectively with any threats or disruptions that could affect the safety or spiritual experience of pilgrims.
The event featured simulated field exercises addressing various security scenarios, as well as displays of modern vehicles, equipment, and aerial assets used during the Hajj season.
Among the high-profile attendees were Prince Salman bin Sultan, Emir of Madinah and Chairman of the Permanent Hajj and Umrah Committee in the Madinah region; Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Deputy emir of Makkah; Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Acting Deputy Minister of Interior; Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mashari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs; and Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mohammed bin Saad, Advisor to the emir of Makkah and General Supervisor of the Governorate's Agency.
Also present were ministers, members of the Supreme Hajj Committee, security and military leaders, and senior officials.
