Saudi Gazette reportARAFAT—
After sunset on the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims began heading to Muzdalifah, amidst the services and health measures provided by the Saudi government to enable them to perform their rituals in peace and security after standing on Mount Arafat and completing the greatest pillar of Hajj.Upon arriving in Muzdalifah, pilgrims perform the Maghrib and Isha prayers together, following the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
They spend the night in Muzdalifah, then head to Mina after the Fajr prayer the next day to throw stones at the Jamarat al-Aqaba and slaughter the sacrificial animals.
The exodus from Arafat to Muzdalifah is the third stage of the Hajj pilgrimage.
