Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman made a series of phone calls on Sunday to leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to discuss escalating tensions in the region following Israeli and U.S. military actions against Iran.

Crown Prince Mohammed spoke separately with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

He also received a phone call from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The conversations focused on recent regional developments, including the ramifications of the Israeli assault on Iran and Sunday’s U.S. strikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities.

All sides stressed the importance of solidarity among GCC states during what was described as a sensitive and critical period for the region.

The leaders affirmed their collective commitment to pursuing de-escalation, exercising restraint, and resolving disputes through diplomatic means.
