Ek Beti Ek Cycle: Empowering Rural High Schools Through Not-in-Use Cycles | Pragnya Mohan | TEDxMICA

Pragnya Mohan channels the power of sports beyond competition, using it as a vehicle for change. Through Ek Beti, Ek Cycle, she is turning forgotten cycles into instruments of empowerment for rural high school girls, bridging the gap between education and opportunity. As India’s only internationally ranked triathlete, she not only pushes the limits of endurance but also champions sustainability and gender equality in sports—driving the Undercurrents of change where mobility fuels possibility. Pragnya Mohan is the reigning Indian Triathlon Champion and the only Indian with an international triathlon ranking. She has won multiple national and South Asian titles and represented India at the Commonwealth Games and Triathlon World Cup. A TEDx speaker, she actively promotes gender equality and sustainability in sports. She has been recognized with the Eklavya Award and BBC Green Award nominations. Currently training in the UK, she continues to inspire through sports and advocacy. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
