Evolve or Repeat? | Simone Kothari | TEDxFountainhead School

History has a way of repeating itself—unless we choose to evolve. Are we learning from our mistakes, or are we caught in a cycle of repetition? This talk explores how conscious change can break patterns and shape a better future. Simone Kothari is an author, environmentalist, athlete, and advocate for systemic change. As the author of Stalking the Stocks, she seeks to make financial literacy accessible to teenagers, emphasizing the importance of understanding the stock market. She is also one of the founders and directors of Earth's 911, a youth-led not-for-profit organization dedicated to driving social and environmental impact. She is a published poet, and uses writing as a tool for advocacy, with published opinions on topics such as period-paid leaves. She has also delivered a TEDx speech on unassertive vulnerabilities. Beyond her literary and activism pursuits, she is a state-level basketball player. She firmly believes in the power of dialogue and written expression to inspire change, striving to bridge the gap between financial awareness, societal issues, and personal empowerment. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
