What acting taught me about my role in life | Jemerina Ji | TEDxQSI Shenzhen Youth

Life is a stage that demand roles that others script for us, but costumes meant to earn applause that often become cages. After years of playing the tomboy, the scholar, and the invisible student, Jemerina finally learns that outsourcing your identity to others’ expectations only leads to exhaustion. This talk explores how self-reflection and courage help identify suffocating roles, silence invisible critics, and rebuild identities not as borrowed costumes. The stage is set—not to perform, but to become. Jemerina Ji from Hongkong, China enjoys all forms of activities to develope her own invaluable understanding of the world. She value every experience, which she believe are stages in the play of life that contributes to the understanding of the world and herself.
