Roots before Robots: YouthLed TechFree Rural Innovation | Harkanwar Singh | TEDxDWPS Ludhiana Youth

Harkanwar Singh sheds light on the often-overlooked ingenuity of rural youth across India who are driving powerful change without access to advanced technology. From clay refrigerators in Gujarat and chalkboard walls in Jharkhand to floating farms in Assam and solar-powered homes in Manipur, he shares real stories of innovation born out of necessity, empathy, and resourcefulness, transforming their communities using local materials, traditional knowledge, and an unwavering will to solve real problems. Harkanwar urges us to redefine innovation, not by its tech quotient, but by its human impact—and to learn from the resilience and creativity rooted in rural India. Harkanwar Singh is the Founder & CEO of Homekrafted, a platform empowering home chefs, farmers, and artisans globally. With 11+ years of experience in media, branding, and e-commerce, he has worked with global brands and crafted impactful narratives. Harkanwar is leading initiatives for street children rehabilitation, mental health, and a Drug-Free Punjab. He is launching the Homekrafted app to connect local creators with global consumers, driven by his passion for perseverance and empowering local talent.
