Pivot! | Caroline Corrente | TEDxMiddlebury

The beauty of life lies in the pivot. What do you do when your business is upended, when there’s a global pandemic, when you realize your dream is no longer your dream, or when your life feels at a standstill? You pivot. And in that pivot, you open up the opportunity to discover what truly matters to you—what you want to move toward, and what you’re ready to let go of along the way. Caroline is the chef/owner of Haymaker Bun Company, which has locations in Middlebury and Burlington, VT. She holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and African Studies from The University of Vermont. Prior to going to pastry school in Paris, she worked in low income housing and financial education at Champlain Housing Trust and the Champlain Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO). Caroline serves on the Board of Atria Collective (formerly WomenSafe) and the Middlebury Natural Foods Co-Op. Caroline lives in Middlebury with her husband, two sons, and dog. In her spare time she enjoys reading, biking, hiking, and doing any snow sport. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
