Dr. Lizy Abraham is the Research Head of the Emerging Networks Division at the Walton Institute, South East Technological University, Ireland, leading advanced EU-funded projects. Recipient of the prestigious SFI-IRC Pathway Fellowship, she is developing an AI-based cardiac disorder detection system for children and has been named one of Ireland's Top 25 Researchers for 2024. Her expertise spans Computer Vision, Edge-AI, IoT, Wireless Sensor Networks, Embedded Systems, and Machine Learning. Dr. Abraham also led WESAT, India’s first satellite payload by an all-women team, while serving as an assistant professor at LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Trivandrum. Currently, she mentors Ph.D. students at APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University and is the Founder of Liz Intelligent Solutions Pvt. Ltd., specializing in Intelligent Technical Solutions. Ce talk explore le parcours d’une chirurgienne spécialisée en cancérologie de la tête et du cou, qui développe des biomatériaux innovants pour révolutionner les reconstructions faciales. Une démarche audacieuse pour améliorer les soins et la qualité de vie des patients. (Vidéo réalisée par 1.8 Production) Agnès est spécialisée dans la reconstruction microchirurgicale et notamment la reconstruction osseuse avec le développement des nouvelles technologies dont l’impression 3D. Elle a mis en place et est responsable de la réunion nationale de l’équipe multidisciplinaire pour les reconstructions complexe de la tête et du cou. Son principal thème de recherche est le développement de nouveaux biomatériaux pour améliorer la qualité de vie des patients atteints de cancer de la tête et du cou. Elle a obtenu plusieurs financements et récompenses, comme le prix de la personnalité de l’année 2023 (Additiv medical). Elle est l’investigatrice principale d’essais cliniques sur IUCT-O et la coordinatrice de projets translationnels innovants tels que le projet BIOFISS ANR PRCE (2020) et le projet BIOFACE RHU France 2030 (2023). Avec des partenaires académiques et industriels, elle travaille également sur la mise en place d’alternatives à l’expérimentation animale dans les essais pré-cliniques.
