More Than Words Going Beyond the Pages | Abhash Jha | TEDxCRCE
He shares a deeply personal journey of turning his pain into purpose. Despite being told he wouldn't be able to earn much with his writing, he persisted. He struggled throughout his life with expressing emotions and communicating with others, which left him without many friends. Even after gaining some friends later, he still enjoyed solitude. Writing was his escape, but he never had the confidence to share his stories or perform them on stage.
A financial crisis halted his education, making him doubt if he would ever succeed in life. However, he used his free time to focus on poetry, posting anonymously on social media. Despite facing backlash and negativity from relatives and friends, he continued writing.
He eventually overcame his stage fright and registered for an open mic. Although he was disappointed by his own performance and felt inadequate compared to other performers, he was proud of himself for not giving up. Little did he know, his first open mic performance would go viral after two months. The two-minute performance, which he once felt embarrassed about, gained millions of views across various social media platforms.
This newfound success earned him respect from relatives, friends, and those around him. He concludes his talk by encouraging the audience to keep dreaming and never let go of their passion. No matter what people say or what fears arise, if he can overcome them, anyone can.
