Más allá del diagnóstico; Disautonomía | Paulina Carbajal | TEDxTecdeMtySanLuisPotosi
El objetivo de esta plática es generar conciencia sobre el impacto que un diagnóstico médico tiene en una persona y en la sociedad, facilitando información clara y accesible sobre lo que es vivir con Disautonomía, especialmente cuando en México, la falta de infraestructura y de un sistema de salud adecuado dificulta aún más la vida de quienes viven con una enfermedad invisible. Cuando recibes un diagnóstico médico, nadie te entrega un manual que explique lo que vas a vivir, lo que perderás, lo que ganarás y el nuevo mundo al que tendrás que enfrentarte. Por eso la importancia de visibilizar sus síntomas, causas, médicos tratantes, estadísticas y las formas más efectivas para su diagnóstico. Lo que busco es que el sector salud y la sociedad pueda identificar síntomas relevantes, disminuir los tiempos de diagnóstico para tener un tratamiento optimo y una mejor calidad de vida. Esto, por una parte, ya que de la mano viene fomentar la empatía, el respeto y la tolerancia hacia las personas que viven con Disautonomía, creando así, una comunidad informada, de soporte y solidaria hacia el paciente y los cuidadores. Dar a conocer la Disautonomía es un reto diario, creando planes de acción, campañas de sensibilización y difusión, censos, cápsulas informativas, grupos de apoyo, eventos educativos, entre otros. Todo lo anterior puede sumar a que la sociedad tenga un mayor entendimiento sobre esta condición y como vivir con ella. Soy Paulina Carbajal Head Hunter, escritora de 1,2,3 por la Disautonomía y todos sus amigos, activista sobre la divulgación de la disautonomía en nuestro país y paciente de esta condición médica desde hace más de 10 años. A partir de 2022, junto con Aliadas por la Disautonomía, trabajamos para generar consciencia sobre el impacto que esta enfermedad tiene en los pacientes y su entorno. Mi principal labor es visibilizar esta causa y resaltar la importancia de unirnos para luchar por ella, donde todos seamos beneficiados al conocer de ella, así, de esta manera ser soporte unos de otros.
