A Positive Vision for Regenerative Leadership | Simon Pringle | TEDxUoChester
Many organisations have been working hard to become more sustainable, but it is apparent that the pace and scale of the change required exceeds the current capacity of most leaders and their teams. Many organisations have made strong progress to become increasingly compliant with ESG
criteria and are working towards more sustainable and resilient business models. However, their focus has typically been on making the existing system incrementally less bad in the hope that the status quo can be maintained.Leadership mindset is critical; there is a lot to unlearn and past experience does not necessarily inform good future judgement. Different attributes and capabilities will be essential to navigate the current challenges and deliver on the necessary transitions for all stakeholders. Simon is a senior commercial strategy and sustainability specialist with extensive board-level experience and strong communication skills. An independent consultant, board advisor, and coach, he has a proven track record of driving measurable impact, improved performance, and entrepreneurial success across diverse sectors and geographies. An Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh Business School, he has served on governance boards and advisory panels, including Chatham House and the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission. With leadership experience across the private, public, and third
sectors, he has a particular focus on regenerative leadership and fostering sustainable, long-term business strategies. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

- 10:10the importance of inner voice-self awareness | Zoe Chen | TEDxQDHS Youthwe need to listen to and feel not just the world around me, but the world within me. Hi everyone! I’m an idealist who loves to explore, try new things, and stay curious about life. I think getting to know myself is a fun and ongoing journey, so I enjoy learning about who I am through conversations with others and moments of self-reflection. In my free time, I love watching dramas and movies—getting lost in different stories and seeing the world from new perspectives. I also enjoy traveling, visiting new places, and experiencing different cultures. Every trip teaches me something new about the world and about myself. Today, I want to share some simple tips that have helped me feel more confident. I hope my experiences can offer you something useful, and through this speech, I’d love for you to get to know a version of me who truly enjoys life and isn’t afraid to try new things! - 11:32AI-generated voices | Sky Niu | TEDxQDHS Youththrough neuroscience and science, technology, and society perspectives, the human biases and limited viewpoints embedded within AI-generated voices, and their potential impacts on us. I’m Sky Niu, someone in deep love with humanity and the world around us. In an era where algorithms and emotions gradually become inseparable, AI technology makes our understanding of love, gender, and identity increasingly nuanced yet ambiguous. Is love an intangible mystery portayed by lyrics and poetry, or a quantitative product of biological instincts and hormonal reactions? Encoded gender expectations and quantified emotional paradigms are reshaping the identity coordinates of our generation. In my talk, I aim to explore, through neuroscience and Science, Technology, and Society perspectives, the human biases and limited viewpoints embedded within AI-generated voices, and their potential impacts on us. Only by doing so can we better safeguard our essence of humanity amidst the turbulence of technology.
