Through those experiences, he has realized the difficulty and importance of understanding and respecting other cultures and customs. What steps should we take to achieve this? インドネシア出身。インドネシアの様々な地域に住んだ後、大学進学をきっかけに来日。現在は、インドネシアのマンダリン・ナタル地域における低所得者層による小規模金採掘(ASGM)について、政府と地域社会のASGMの解釈の違い、またその違いが生み出す未規制発掘の広まりという観点から研究している。2nd year master’s student at the Graduate School of Social Design Studies. Born in Indonesia. After living in different areas of Indonesia, he moved to Japan for his university education. His current research focuses on the political ecology of Artisanal Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASMG), examining how the Indonesian national government represents ASGM and how this contrasts with the local society’s interpretations, leading to widespread unregulated mining. He enjoys learning and is always looking for opportunities to meet new people. He is a budding photographer, as well as being an avid reader and also working on paper-craft, namely quilling. He values his academics and his extra-curricular, which is why he practices badminton and cricket. His favorite subject areas include math, science, and history.
