Materialism and I Ching | Qiwei Yan | TEDxNACIS Shanghai Youth

This talk bridges ancient Chinese philosophy and modern quantum physics, revealing striking parallels between I Ching's yin-yang principles and scientific concepts like wave-particle duality and quantum entanglement. Challenging rigid materialist views, the speaker demonstrates how traditional wisdom anticipated cutting-edge physics, inviting us to re-examine "superstitious" texts through the lens of dynamic, imaginative scientific inquiry. My life motto is science is the rule, and rules need developing. My MBTI is ESFP, as a ‘Performer’, I’m good in presenting my opinion to the audiences. The subjects that I love are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Music. I like to play clarinet and joined in professional teenage orchestras before. Although I am an E-person right now, I was, awkwardly, really shy in the period I’m in elementary school. Now, I’ve evolved myself into a better student and stored with eternal enthusiasm. I’m glad that I’ve got luckily selected into the last round of the TEDx event, and I surely will try my best in my final test to this journey. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
