Attivista per lo sport e l’inclusione, nel 2011 fonda Disabili No Limits per aiutare le persone con disabilità ad accedere a protesi e ausili sportivi. Autrice di libri ispirazionali, ha scritto l’autobiografia "Con la testa e con il cuore si va ovunque” e il libro per bambini "WonderGiusy". Volto noto della TV e del teatro, ha vinto Ballando con le Stelle nel 2014, condotto programmi su Rai e Mediaset e portato in scena la sua storia con uno spettacolo teatrale.Dal 2018 è in Parlamento, prima come deputata, poi come senatrice, impegnata su sport, pari opportunità e diritti delle persone con disabilità.
