Revolutionizing education by doing less | Julie Laub | TEDxBountiful

Julie will explore how applying Lean principles—commonly used in business and manufacturing—can empower educators to refocus on what truly matters in the classroom. She will discuss how Lean Think isn't about adding another program or checklist, but is a mindset that helps teachers identify waste, simplify processes, and gain more time and energy for impactful teaching. Julie Laub is an advanced chemistry teacher at Davis High School and an adjunct professor at Weber State University. She holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Utah and a MA in Teaching Science from Western Governors University. Beyond her achievements in education, Julie earned her Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and is a published author, founder of Lean Think, and workshop facilitator. She passionately supports fellow educators in achieving healthy work-life balance and guiding students toward their highest levels of success. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
