What martial arts taught me about resilience | Logan McGillen | TEDxRiverfield Country Day School

A broken board and a powerful message. Logan McGillen shares how overcoming bullying and fear through martial arts led him to unexpected success. His journey is a reminder that resilience, not perfection, is what truly builds confidence—and that success often starts where you least expect it. Logan McGillen is the son of Thomas and Melissa McGillen of Owasso, Oklahoma. Logan is a fifth-grade student at Riverfield Country Day School. In his free time, Logan enjoys Taekwondo, soccer, basketball, Lego, and playing video games. For this year’s TEDx event, Logan is speaking about Taekwondo and exploring how success comes in unusual ways. Logan is excited to be sharing his experiences to inspire others throughout his speech. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
