Today, global changes have triggered the need to strengthen relationships with others and with ourselves. The educational process requires integrating a more human approach that promotes balance and emotional health. Emanuel Garza Fishburn is co-founder and Rector of Carolina University, with a focus on civic education, corporate social responsibility, environmental conservation, and social transformation. He has helped create institutions like Via Educación and Harmony School, and has served as a consultant for Harvard’s Kennedy School and the Global Equity Initiative. He led the Xignux Foundation and helped establish the SumaRSE networks in Nuevo León and Coahuila. Emanuel has co-founded or served on boards of numerous civil society organizations, including Fundación Comunidar, Outreach International, and the Civic Council of Institutions of Coahuila. He has received several honors, such as the CLASE Award, and fellowships from Synergos, the Academy for Systems Change, and major international institutions. He holds a Law degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master’s in International Education Policy from Harvard. He lives in Saltillo with his wife Ana Celia and their four children.
