As a distinguished lawyer and passionate advocate for gender equality and women's rights, Atty. Marilag Sadicon has bravely showcased her deep commitment to human rights and inclusive legal landscapes. From her experience in NGOs to her current position at the Supreme Court of the Philippines, she continues to define what it means to be a servant to the people. In her talk, she shares how the law influences people's (especially women's) day to day lives, more than we realize. Marilag is a lawyer with a strong background in both litigation and public service. She is currently serving as a lawyer at the Supreme Court of the Philippines Office of the Spokesperson, where she plays a key role in communicating the Court’s position on critical legal matters to the public.A passionate advocate for gender equality and women’s rights, Marilag was a former intern at OutRight International, where she supported advocacy efforts on behalf of underrepresented and minority groups.A graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law, Marilag is deeply committed to advancing human rights and fostering an inclusive legal landscape. She is an alumna of Miriam College High School, where her passion for justice and equality first began to take shape.
