Beyond the Finish Line: Rediscovering Our Bond With Horses | Bing I. Bush Jr. | TEDxSanDiego
For the last 4,000 years, Horses have shaped human civilization and taught us valuable life lessons. Bing I. Bush Jr. shares how we all experienced a remarkable, magical bond with these animals, but that bond has been largely lost in today's modern society. It still survives today in various equestrian communities, including the world of thoroughbred racing - where people from every possible background come together sharing their bond and love for these magnificent animals making us better individuals and a better world. bing@bushlawoffices.com; Insta: bing_bush; Facebook: Bing I Bush Jr #ilovehorses #horseracing #thoroughbreds Bing, originally from Lexington, Kentucky, grew up on a small horse farm, forging a deep bond with horses through daily care and equestrian sports—competitive jumping, foxhunting, polo, roping, trail riding, and breaking yearlings. After earning his law degree, he moved to California in 1987, focusing on personal injury, trusts and estates, and equine law. In 2000, he founded his own firm, representing everyone from local riders to international clients, including Dubai royalty. A licensed racing owner/trainer since 1984, Bing launched Abbondanza Racing in 2012, competing in events like the Breeders’ Cup. He serves on the boards of Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) and CARMA, helping retired racehorses find good homes, and actively supports nonprofits and legal organizations. My name is Nutthakun Wannaprapa. I am a third-year bachelor's degree student at the School of Engineering, Department of Computer and Robotics Engineering. By nature, I really enjoy reading books and listening to podcasts. TED Talks are my favorite. I have a dream of sharing interesting stories from the books I read with others because I believe that to truly understand something, I should try to explain or teach it to others. I learned this concept from the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People—it sounds like a win-win situation, haha!
