Training Lawyers for Real Life — Because Life Isn’t Like TV | Adrienne Go | TEDxSan Diego Salon

TV shows make lawyering look easy—just know the law and you'll get a happy ending. But real-life legal challenges aren’t scripted. In this talk, Adrienne Go shares why traditional legal education falls short and how hands-on experience can train lawyers to solve real-world problems when it matters most. https://www.productlawhub.com/ #TEDxSanDiego #TEDxSanDiegoSalon #LegalEducation #TEDx #Lawyers #RealWorldLawyering #LawSchool #ProblemSolving #CrisisDecisionMaking Adrienne Go is a seasoned lawyer with over 30 years of experience, including nine years as a Deputy City Attorney for the San Francisco International Airport, where she tackled high-stakes legal and operational challenges. At eBay, she built and led the company’s first dedicated product counseling team, helping engineers and business leaders navigate legal complexity while driving business growth. Adrienne has spent her career at the intersection of law, innovation, and real-world decision-making. She is passionate about bridging the gap between legal theory and practical lawyering—training lawyers to think beyond statutes and contracts to become trusted business partners. Adrienne is the co-author of Product Counsel: Advise, Innovate, and Inspire (Oct 2024) and the co-founder of Product Law Hub (https://www.productlawhub.com), a community dedicated to advancing practical, business-focused legal skills.
