Customise Your Education: The Talk I Wish I Heard at 15 | Sahil Sonalkar | TEDxEMWS
Most students go through school checking the right boxes - grades, clubs, certificates - but miss the real opportunity: using their education as a tool for an advantage. In this engaging talk, an Ecole alumnus breaks down how to truly weaponize your school experience by customizing your learning, mastering writing as a thinking tool, and making every experience count. Sahil Sonalkar is someone who’s making a career out of asking too many questions and turning school projects into meaningful real-world experiences. A former PPE student at King’s College London, he’s debated Members of Parliament, led prestigious student societies, managed philanthropic initiatives for WISE trust, led teams to the United Nations HQ, debated at Oxford, written papers at the G20, and somehow convinced people to let him speak at prestigious events like this. When he’s not talking about customising education, he’s probably engaged in over analyzing cricket, debating geopolitics or pretending to speak better French than he actually does.
