1971 doğumlu Dr. Ecz. Başbuğ Öke, sağlık sektöründe 20 yılı aşkın tecrübesiyle özellikle ilaç endüstrisinde iş geliştirme, pazarlama ve global operasyonlar alanlarında önemli roller üstlenmiştir. Abdi İbrahim, Abbott ve AbbVie gibi ulusal ve uluslararası firmalarda yöneticilik yapmış; nöroloji ve spesifik tedavi alanlarında lider projelere imza atmıştır. Halen Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama Genel Müdürü olarak görev yapan Öke, konuşmasında sağlık sektörünün dönüşümünde yapay zeka ve hasta odaklı yaklaşımların önemine dikkat çekmiştir. 1971 yılında doğan Dr. Ecz. Başbuğ Öke, lise eğitimini 1989 yılında İstanbul Erkek Lisesi’nde, lisans eğitimini 1993 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Eczacılık Fakültesi’nde, yüksek lisans eğitimini 1996 yılında aynı üniversitenin aynı bölümünde tamamladı; doktora derecesini ise 2000 yılında aynı üniversitenin Biyokimya Bölümü’nden aldı. İş yaşamına 2000 yılında Bilim İlaç’ta İş Geliştirme Yöneticisi olarak başlayan Öke, 2002-2006 yılları arasında Abdi İbrahim’de sırasıyla Tıbbi Tanıtım Uzmanı, Medikal Müdür ve Ürün Müdürü olarak çalıştı. 2006-2013 yılları arasında Abbott’ta sırasıyla Kıdemli Ürün Müdürü, Grup Ürün Müdürü, Pazarlama Müdürü, Neonatoloji İş Birimi Müdürü, Solvay Entegrasyonu Proje Lideri ve Spesifik Ürünler İş Birimi Direktörü olarak görev yaptı. AbbVie oluşumunun ardından 2013-2017 yılları arasında AbbVie Türkiye’de Spesifik Ürünler İş Birimi Direktörü, 2017-2021 yılları arasında AbbVie Inc Chicago’da Kıdemli Pazarlama Müdürü ve Nöroloji alanındaki Global Pazarlama ve Ticari Operasyonlardan Sorumlu Direktör olarak çalıştı. Having started my international education journey at BIS in Year 7, I was guided through the nature of identity in an increasingly globalized world. My experience here has been a fascinating exploration of what it means to be an “international learner” and foster a sense of global citizenship.However, my time at school also raised questions about myself. Like many locals attending international schools, I feel that my Vietnamese peers and I are somewhat severed from our national roots. We speak Vietnamese, but our behaviors and language often deviate from traditional norms; we're not quite third culture kids, but we don't fully fit in our own country either.In these moments of self-doubt, it is easy to see this as a problem and feel caught between worlds. However, I believe this situation gives us a rare opportunity to embrace international-mindedness and our home culture. We have unrestricted access to the resources that enable us to explore and connect these different worlds to something new and meaningful. The choice of whether to do this is ours to make. Henry is a curious and intellectually driven Year 12 student at the British International School, where his international education journey began in Year 7. Over the years, he has developed a keen interest in global affairs, identity, and the nuanced dynamics of cultural belonging.
