Perfection isn't the goal | Hoang Huy Nguyen | TEDxLe Loi Street

We live in an age where “potential” is often measured by achievements, and “success” is judged by speed. But the younger generation is not a project to be “optimized.” They are growing souls — full of clumsy steps, mistakes, and moments of losing their way. This is the story of someone who has learned to embrace imperfection — in themselves, and in the next generation. It’s not an idealistic kind of faith, but a mature one — shaped by failure, by observation, and by a passionate heart. Nguyen Hoang Huy is the Founder and CEO of The Forum, a chain of 10 language centers across Vietnam. His remarkable achievements include being admitted to the law program of University of New Hampshire; being admitted to a PhD program in Economics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; and being one of the few Vietnamese to attain a perfect IELTS score of 9.0. Incredibly, Huy is simultaneously pursuing two doctoral degrees in Economics and Law, managing his education business, and completing an MBA program in Switzerland. His story is a powerful example of relentless learning and a deep commitment to the global academic community, as shown through initiatives like organizing free IELTS classes for learners. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
